What each plan turns on.
The modules layer up the ladder, with two exceptions. MomijiComply is on every plan, Budget included. MomijiPerform is on none of them: it is an add-on, priced per person, that you can put on any plan. Every plan shares one directory underneath.

Billed monthly.
On any plan, no seat minimum, no contract, and no setup fee of its own.
Performance tools often start near four thousand dollars a year with seat minimums. MomijiPerform starts at one person.
Launch, the guided ten-day onboarding, is the plan's fee and is unchanged. The add-on carries none of its own.

The things people ask first.
What happens in the ten days?
Upload what you have, review in stages, set balances, invite in waves.
The timeline above is exactly what we run together: the AI reads your documents, proposes the structure, and a person from our team walks every confirmation with you, so the whole company lands on a setup that is correct on day one.
What does the AI do with my documents?
They are read server-side through our own enterprise key; your team needs no AI accounts and never configures a model.
A clean spreadsheet, CSV or Excel with one row per person, can skip the model altogether: you map each column onto a Momiji field, salary included, and the rows are staged exactly as you mapped them.
Extraction works against a strict schema whose standing rule is an honest blank over a guess, everything it proposes waits for your confirmation, and commercial API data is not used to train models.
No SIN column exists in the schema, so a SIN is never stored, and the extractor writes neither a SIN nor a bank account from any document you upload. A bank account reaches Momiji only where you turn direct deposit on and an employee types their own in, and it is encrypted. Whether these numbers are ever transmitted for extraction is a separate question, and we answer it plainly on our security page: spreadsheets are redacted before they are sent, while PDFs and photographs are sent whole.
What counts as an employee?
Any person who was active in your directory or payroll at any point during the billing period, together with anyone who appeared on a committed pay run in that period. A person active for part of a period counts as one full seat.
Seats are not prorated: adding or removing someone partway through a period does not change what that period costs. Every plan includes 10 employees, and you can open the list of people counted for any period in the product.
The full definitions, including sites and provinces, are in our terms.
Is compliance training an extra?
No. MomijiComply is on every plan, Budget upwards, and it is not a separate line on the invoice: rules that assign themselves, courses built from your own material, four ways for a person to finish one, completions that cannot be edited afterwards, one board holding every location against every rule, and an evidence pack per location and period.
Momiji records, prompts, escalates and, where you switch it on, refuses a room check-in or a shift claim. The punch is never blocked. It does not certify that your organization has met an obligation, and nothing in it is legal advice.
The whole module is set out on the MomijiComply page.
Why is MomijiPerform an add-on rather than a tier?
Because the companies that need it least are not the small ones. A merit cycle is worth running at eight people and at eighty, and putting it on the top tier would have priced it by headcount, which is exactly the shape the rest of the category already has, seat minimums and all. MomijiPerform starts at one person.
Performance Essentials is $6 per person per month and Performance Suite is $12. Either can sit on any plan, Budget upwards, with no seat minimum and no contract. Turning it on adds nothing to your Launch fee and changes nothing about the plan underneath it.
What the two levels actually turn on is set out on the MomijiPerform page.
What is Akiko, and what does it cost?
Akiko is the help assistant inside the product, on every plan. Somebody types a question in plain language and the answer is grounded on Momiji's guided walkthroughs, on a description of what the product does, and on excerpts of your own documents that the person asking is already allowed to see, which are sent with the question to the model that answers it. It names the document and the section it answered from. It writes nothing, it never reads another person's record, and it says it does not know rather than guessing.
There is no separate charge for Akiko. Every plan carries a monthly AI allowance measured in credits, which covers Akiko, the drafting help inside a review, and reading a photographed receipt: 1,000,000 credits on Budget, 2,000,000 on Core, 4,000,000 on Professional and 6,000,000 on Managed. A question is about 3,000 credits and a receipt about 2,500, so Core is on the order of six hundred questions a month for the whole company, or any mix of the three. Each person may ask thirty questions a day. An administrator sees the month by area on the AI usage screen, and the account owner can set a ceiling as high as five times the allowance; anything above that is a conversation with us.
Past the allowance, AI carries on working and the extra is $11.00 CAD per million credits, billed in arrears. Nothing under $5.00 in a month is invoiced at all, so a small overrun costs nothing. At your ceiling AI stops until the next month. Reading your documents during Launch is outside all of this on every plan: it is what the setup fee pays for, and it never counts against a monthly allowance.
Answers are not legal, tax or accounting advice, and Akiko will not quote a price or promise what a plan includes.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes. Move up the ladder whenever you want the next module - Budget to Core to add MomijiTime, Core to Professional to add MomijiExpenses and MomijiPay - and billing adjusts on your next period.
Nothing re-imports; the directory underneath is the same.
How does the guarantee work?
If Launch does not have you live in ten days, the $2,500 setup fee is refunded.
Switching mid-year adds $1,500. Your opening year-to-date balances have to be captured and validated before anything can tie out; a January 1 start has none to carry.
The figures themselves are read from your previous provider's year-to-date report rather than keyed in, and you check and confirm each person before anything reaches payroll.
Do I need the Launch fee?
Yes; Launch is how every account starts, so the whole team lands on a clean, correct setup.
It is also what pays for the proof. Before you run a live cycle we recompute your last period from the new setup and show you every figure against the stub your current provider issued. If it does not tie to the cent, you do not go live.
